New non emergency phone number call 101, effective 19th September 2011
On 19th September 2011 the police are introducing a new national non emergency phone number 101. From this date you can call this number from anywhere in the UK.
Please call 101 to report all non emergencies and to speak to the police about policing, non urgent crime and anti-social behaviour issues. Our current non emergency number 0845 408 7000 will be phased out after 19th September.
Remember in an emergency please call 999

Every three months priorities are set based on what the local community tell us are their concerns. You can raise your concerns or talk to us about anything else by attending one of the meetings listed below or by contacting us at anytime using the contact details provided.

Interesting idea, however a charge of 15p regardless of your own call package, except from telephone boxes (are there still any) free, seems a little steep.
Yes, there are still phone boxes around. We even have one in our village at the entrance to Greenfields.
