How much electricity do you use, and would you like to save money and energy?

Swindon Borough Council are making fifty OWL Micro Energy Monitors available to loan from Swindon Libraries. The monitors are simple to use and can be borrowed FREE, to library members, who are also Swindon Borough residents, for a one week period.

Monitors can be reserved at the following libraries:

  • Central Library
  • Highworth Library
  • North Swindon Library
  • West Swindon Library
  • Wroughton Library
  • The Mobile Library.

Joining the Library is easy and free.

The monitors are easy to fit and will tell you in real time how much electricity your house is using in KWh and how much it is costing you. This will allow you to see how you are using your energy and take steps to save money and carbon. It is estimated that over £900 million is wasted in the UK every year, by leaving domestic appliances on when not in use.
