Calling all Swindon Businesses – Buy with Confidence

We all know that these are tough times, for businesses and their customers. So how do you keep one step ahead of the competition, making sure you’re doing the best by both your customer and your profit margin? Join Buy With Confidence!

Buy with Confidence is the largest assured trader scheme in England, and unlike other schemes, it is run by your local Trading Standards Service and not by a private company who are more interested in their own profits than yours. This means that you can be confident that you are trading within both the letter and the spirit of the law, and have a dedicated point of contact within Trading Standards if something does go wrong, or you just need some advice.

To become a member you have to pass an audit carried out by Trading Standards Officers, to maintain the highest possible standards for the scheme, but once your application has been successful, you can join the Buy With Confidence family where you will be featured on the national website, be part of a scheme promoted by Swindon Borough Council, and have use of the Buy With Confidence – “Trading Standards Approved” logo for your vehicles, premises and stationary.

If this sounds like something your business needs, contact the Buy With Confidence Project Officers Lara Hill or Michael Voss on 01793 466155. Or you can e-mail them at buywithconfidence@swindon.gov.uk. More information about the scheme can be found if you go to www.buywithconfidence.gov.uk.

We look forward to working with you to make your business a success, and to help protect the consumers of Swindon.
