Swindon hotel joins Accor Mercure brand

A hotel in Swindon owned by Focus Hotels is to use Accor’s Mercure branding as part of a franchise agreement.

The South Marston Hotel – which will now be known as the Mercure Hotel Swindon East – is among ten hotels throughout the UK that have been rebranded.

All of the hotels will continue to be owned and managed by Focus and no operations will change, but the company believes they will benefit from a wider marketing network through the association with Accor.

Focus said this will improve the amount of visitors from the UK and overseas and impact positively upon the local economies.

There are 700 Mercure-branded hotels in more than 50 countries.
