South Marston School – 140 years old

Copyright by Stacy WoolhouseThis June, South Marston C of E Primary school turns 140 years old. We are holding a week of celebrations beginning on Monday 17th June with children dressing up to represent the different decades, and cumulating with a school picnic on the Friday. The children will be producing an archive of memories which will be on permanent display in school. We are also planning on holding a special 140 years church service.

We would love to hear about any memories of the school, from people in the community, and also any photographs that could be lent to us.

If you would be happy to talk to some children about your memories, we would be delighted to see you in school during this week. Please could you give us a ring on 01793 823379 or pop in to school to make yourself known.

It would be great if we could find 8 people to represent the decades going all the way back to the 1930s. Perhaps your parents passed on their memories to you?

Looking forward to meeting you all.

Mr Luke Maddison
