Residents are invited to the first public performance meeting being hosted by Police and Crime Commissioner for Wiltshire and Swindon Angus Macpherson.
The event is taking place on Tuesday 4 June at 5.30pm in the Atrium at County Hall, Trowbridge. Commissioner Angus Macpherson will be joined by Wiltshire Police Deputy Chief Constable Mike Veale.
There will also be performance information from Wiltshire Youth Offending Team, which the Commissioner has allocated funded to, and Victim Support, another organisation Mr Macpherson is working closely with.
Mr Macpherson said: “We are holding this meeting to give people an opportunity to hear both from me and Deputy Chief Constable Mike Veale about how the Constabulary has performed in the last year as well as to hear about other organisations I am working with. I will also be speaking about some of the key initiatives in my Police and Crime Plan, there will be a question and answer session and the chance to chat to us over a cup of coffee before the meeting starts.”
A main part of the Commissioner’s role is to ensure there is an efficient and effective police service in the area. These performance meetings will be held quarterly throughout Wiltshire and Swindon giving residents the chance to find out more about police performance as well as other organisations he is working with.
Councillors and representatives from voluntary and community sector agencies in the Trowbridge area are also being invited to the meeting, which is expected to last for about an hour.
