A right Royal weekend of fun, fun, fun from Thursday through to Sunday for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

It’s Celebration Time here in South Marston- Let’s all celebrate and have a good time over the Bank Holiday Weekend 2nd – 5th June.

The Jubilee Committee invites everyone in South Marston to…Get Ready…Get your flags and bunting out and decorate everywhere in the village by Mon 30th May.

Get Set…put the dates (2nd – 5th June) in your diaries….And Go…join in;

  • Thursday 2nd at Lunchtime
    The Big Lunch at The Carpenters Arms, please telephone Clare on 01793 822997 to book your table
  • Thursday Evening – A Right Royal Quiz Night at The Carriers Arms
    Amanda asks that we arrive at 8.30pm for a 9pm start
  • Friday 3rd Evening – Live Music at The Carpenters Arms
  • Saturday 4th from 11am – Party in the Park (Rec) for the Children (up to 11 years)
  • Saturday Afternoon from 3pm – Dog Show on The Rec
  • Saturday Evening from 7pm – Party in the Park (Rec) with Live Band, bar and chips
  • Sunday 5th 3.30-5pm – Cream Teas in the Village Hall for Senior Citizens

  • Sunday 3–5pm, stop for tea/coffee/water and cake at the Church

There are no charges for joining the activities on Saturday and Sunday

We invite everyone over the long weekend, to Walk-about and Ride-about the village, calling at the Church in the afternoons, where there will be an exhibition of South Marston in bygone times.

Donations welcome at each event with donations at the Church going toward its upkeep.

Please note that there is no parking provision for the events on the Rec. Please leave your cars at home keeping our roads safe for walkers and riders.
