Advance notice of our Annual General Meeting. Every South Marston resident is a ‘member’ of SMRA and will be very welcome to attend the AGM and find out more about our work.
SMRA is a charity run by volunteers from the village. We manage the Recreation Ground on behalf of the Parish Council and we own the Village Hall.
We would be very interested in hearing from anyone who may be willing and able to become a trustee and help us with the challenges we have to work on this year.
Including managing the transition running up to the expanded Recreation Ground, Hall and new facilities, that will affect the football pitches and changing rooms, car park and the new Hall.
Another priority is a request for us to help design the mini ‘junior’ play sites within the new developments and more importantly, a ‘teen’ area that is planned south of the expanded Rec. We’ve made our younger residents very happy with their renovated play area at the Rec. Why not come and help improve things to accommodate our teens and young adults too?
