St Mary Magdalene Church is part of the Stratton Team Ministry, together with St Margaret’s Church in Lower Stratton and St Leonard’s in Stanton Fitzwarren.
The Church organises a monthly Meeting Point in the village hall – an opportunity to meet old and new friends over a cup of tea, cake and a bacon sandwich on each second Saturday of the month from 10am. New faces are very welcome.
The South Marston Church of England Primary school has been part of the village since 1873 and is run by the Diocese of Bristol Academies Trust. The Pre-School is located in the grounds of the primary school for children aged from 3.
