Birmingham Christmas Market Trip
The coach will be departing from outside the school at 9am and leaving Birmingham at 4pm to return to South Marston.
Please take note of the following.
Payments at the market
Many of the vendors at Birmingham’s Christmas markets accept card payments but many have a cash only policy or require a minimum purchase for using a card.
Drinks at the market
A common practice at German Christmas markets (and also at the Birmingham Frankfurt Christmas Market) is that you pay a deposit for a cup when buying drinks, about £3. Ultimately you will still be paying the listed price for the drink, so long as you return the cup.
Often a token will be given to you alongside your drink. This token is to be returned with your cup when returning. It is a little safeguard to ensure that people aren’t just picking up random cups to claim the deposit money.
