The Gardening Club

The South Marston Gardening Club is a small friendly group that consists of members from within the village and surrounding area. We come together to share our passion for all things horticultural.

As a general rule, we meet every first Monday (not Bank Holidays) of the month from March to December in South Marston Village Hall, Old Vicarage Lane, SN3 4SH from 7.30 pm to 9.30 pm. with refreshments and an optional raffle.

Produce showOur annual program of activities include talks by experts on various aspects of gardening, open garden event, plant selling (change “selling” to sales), quizzes, workshops, visits and social events.

Every year we run a stall selling plants, homegrown produce, homemade preserves and cakes at the South Marston Summer Fete, so come along and buy some plants for your garden or allotment.

On a Saturday in August, we hold our Annual Flower and Produce Show. If showing homegrown produce appeals to you, please contact Angela for the schedule and an entry form.

If you would like to share your ideas and experience about gardening with like-minded people, please come and join us. You are very welcome, whether you want to learn, just a beginner or are already green-fingered. You have the choice to enjoy the benefits of full membership which is just £12 a year or join us as a visitor for events that particularly interest you and pay £3 on the door. A warm welcome awaits you.
