May 2025
Old Vicarage Lane – Planned 2-day road closure. Monday 2nd of June and Tuesday 3rd of June from 9.30am to 3.30pm, for tree removal required ahead of the construction of the Old Vicarage Lane junction with the new road through the housing development parcels. From Wednesday 4th of June – Friday 6th of June, Traffic Management will switch to 1 lane closure so Breheny can undertake hedge removal and vegetation clearance. The Parish Council asked the developers how this would affect the ban on construction
traffic going around Pound Corner, and the letter distributed to residents now notes that traffic will be managed on the closed section.
April 2025
Construction traffic on village roads. The developers are required to ensure that the central village roads are not used for main construction traffic without official permission. Sightings, when reported, are being followed up by the Parish Council direct with the construction companies and developers. Please note, however, that some contractor’s vehicles have been doing preparatory work, eg archaeology trenching, all around the development sites. These are not covered by the ban on using the central village roads.
