It’s now just a couple of weeks to go until the Summer Fete / Party in the Park at the Village Recreation Ground, taking place on Saturday 25th of July. Please do come along for some fun and help support the village.
Whilst the recent Have Your Say event outlined the planned footpath and road closures, along with the proposed transfer of Village Hall ownership to the Parish Council — a move that received overwhelming support. A new project was also introduced to collect and archive memories of the Village Hall.
Over at the allotment car park, several interesting new items have been added. Meanwhile, the Open Spaces Working Group reports on the hazards caused by dog poo left along the paths in St Julian’s Wood and appeals to dog owners to clear up after their dogs.
St Mary Magdalene Church recently held a successful fundraising afternoon with tea and cake, a mini bell‑ringing setup for visitors to try, and a display of steam engines.
