The construction of the new roads that serve the housing development requires the closure of a number of village footpaths over the next 6 months. Ward Williams, the developers’ infrastructure company, has applied to Swindon Borough Council for a 6 month closure order. However, it is not anticipated that this will be implemented on all footpaths across the South Marston village development area throughout this period. They have produced a leaflet explaining this in more detail.
A Ward Williams representative will be attending the next Have Your Say event on 3rd June 5.30 to 7.30 pm in the Village Hall to answer questions and explain how the closures are progressing.
