Residents posed a number of questions for the Parish Council at the October Have Your Say event. One topic was the Flood Risk in the Parish, and more recently, we have all had direct experience of the problems that can result.
The Parish Council has since collated a major report based on the reports and photos that resulted from our call for residents to send us their experiences of Storm Babet at the end of October. Thank you to all those who responded to that call for evidence.
This report has now been sent to the Borough’s Flood Officers and the Environment Agency, with whom we will be having a more detailed conversation about implementing our recommendations. We need them to respond, since the Parish Council has no direct power to do any flood alleviation work on land it does not own.
